Horizontal Swim Lanes

| It would be nice to have horizontal swim lane blocks for flow charts. | |

| BrinaS, This is a common request that we haven't completed yet because it's waiting on the development of another feature that has to come first: Vertical (or rotated) text. Fortunately, we've recently made a breakthrough on rotating text both in the browser and for print. So with any luck, you'll see horizontal swim lanes in LucidChart pretty soon. | |

| This was one of my first impressions, is it possible to have horizontal swim lanes? I think the tool is amazing and would really like to use this for all of my clients. | |

| What is the latest status on this feature request? I was hoping to see this in the new beta that was just rolled out, but it looks like that is organization of the UI and not feature enhancements. This is still a large drawback from being able to use this to document all of our internal and external processes. | |

| That's right, from a feature perspective, the closed beta is a reasonably modest update. Most importantly, the new interface represents a nearly complete rewrite of the user interface for LucidChart from the ground up, with the purpose of making new features easier than ever for us to build in the coming months. This particular feature--horizontal swim lanes, and rotated blocks/text in general--is sure to be in there somewhere, though we're not pegging a release date on it yet. | |
