Links to external web pages

| Although there is already a thread that includes this, most of its content is about links between chart pages which is already implemented. I thought that this separate feature deserves its own thread. The ability to include links to external web pages would be very useful, for instance, to link to external documents that describe process blocks, etc. Ideally the text on any object could be converted to a link. The user should have the ability to enter separate display text and link text. There was a post on 3/5/2010 that said it was on the "quite long" development list. Hopefully this feature can be pushed near the top of this long list. Doing so would help users integrate this powerful service into their existing documentation suites. | |

| I agree. We are evaluating a flow chart service for my organization. Although we can create links to LucidCharts from other services we use, LucidChart does not allow us to link to the documents created in those other services. With this feature, LucidChart could be a great documentation entry point for many of the process flows we create | |

| I'm happy to announce that we've quietly released this feature today. Select any one block (it doesn't even have to be an Off-Page-Link block), and click the Link icon in the option bar near the top of the screen. You can link to another page within the document, or to any URL. The links even work in PDFs when you print/export to PDF.
