Announcing Confluence team management and collapsible mind maps

Posted on by mitch

The weather’s growing warmer at Lucidchart headquarters and our thoughts are turning to spring. With renewed energy, we’re moving faster than ever toward the implementation of great features. We have some exciting news for Team administrators for Confluence, as well as a cool new feature for mind mappers.

Simplified user management in Confluence

We’ve recently updated the Lucidchart plugin for Confluence to dramatically increase the fluidity of team and user management within Confluence. When new users click the “Add” button and select “Lucidchart Diagram” for the first time, they will be automatically provided a Lucidchart account to start diagramming — no need to fill out endless registration forms! This seamless user experience enables Confluence administrators to easily onboard dozens or hundreds of users in no time.

Managing these users has also been simplified for administrators, with the ability to add, remove and otherwise manage users now based directly in Confluence (rather than at Lucidchart.com). Administrators can also select which users will be on the Lucidchart Team account in order to have access to team sharing and other premium features. Admins can access these features with the new ‘User Management’ tab on the Lucidchart plugin configuration page.

Not on a team account yet? Upgrade now and install the plugin to start enjoying the process of diagramming in your Confluence wiki. Watch the 2 minute video below to learn more about the latest plugin.

Collapsible mind map branches

If you’re a fan of mind mapping, we’ve rolled out a new feature that will simplify your work: collapsible branches. To access this feature, mouse over each node until a plus or minus sign appears. With the node selected, enter ‘z’ to collapse or expand a branch. Remember that mind mapping is a premium feature; upgrade your account to take advantage of this functionality!

Please let us know what you think of these new features, and as always, thank you for choosing Lucidchart.
