After installing Lucidchart from the Jive Apps Marketplace, you can get started from your Apps Dashboard. With the app, you have the option to either create a new diagram or insert an existing diagram. When you create a new diagram, you can either start a new diagram from our template page or directly import a Microsoft Visio file, which allows our users to easily import and share their existing Visio documents in Jive.
As an example, we’ll add a simple support process diagram. We understand that collaboration is key to your team’s success and have designed Lucidchart so an unlimited number of users can work together on a diagram, with each user’s edits and changes updated and reflected in Jive. And with robust version control, you’ll have full revision history for all of your documents.
Lucidchart is created with an intuitive interface for Jive so it’s easy to get started. Instead of having a line tool that has to be selected to connect two shapes, Lucidchart lets you drag a line directly out of a shape. Additionally, users are automatically prompted to select which new shape they want to connect next. Once you’re finished creating a diagram, simply click ‘Return to Jive’ where you will then be prompted to select where you want to attach the diagram. You will be automatically redirected to view the diagram attached to the group, project, space, or discussion in Jive.
