TranscriptSo, you’ve been working hard on designing your database or on redesigning one you already manage using an entity relationship diagram. Lucidchart makes it simple and easy to export all of your hard work back into your DBMS, doing all of the buildout, editing, or updating for you. To get started, first open the document with your ERD. Make sure the ERD is set up exactly the way you would like it to be in your database and when you’re ready, navigate to the ERD shapes in your toolbox. Here, click export. Select the DBMS that you are using and then copy the subsequent commands to your clipboard so you can then paste those commands into your DBMS. The process for doing this varies by your DBMS, so if you’re unsure, reach out to your DMBS administrator. Note, before using the generated commands you may need to add data types, indices, or foreign keys. Now your database should be all up-to-date! As you can see, Lucidchart makes it easy and simple for you to export your ERD back into your DBMS, saving you a lot of time and headache and letting you focus your time on the things that matter most.
