Use the free Lucidchart add-on to create and insert diagrams from inside Google docs. Click 'Add-ons,' 'Get add-ons,' and search for Lucidchart. Lucidchart's add-on for Google Docs is free to install. Simply click the blue button and Lucidchart will look for an account under your Gmail address. If we don't find one, we'll prompt you to start with your Google credentials or sign in to a different account. If you choose to sign in with a different Lucidchart account, Google Docs will request access to your Lucidchart account. Accept, close the window, and we'll load the add-on with your documents and folders. You should see a red 'Create' button, a filter, a list of available folders and documents, a blue 'Insert' button, and an 'Action' button. To insert a static PNG of your document, place your cursor on the Google Doc, select a title from the list of documents, and click the blue 'Insert' button. If you created the document or have edit permission, select the title from the list and hit 'Edit' to make changes to the diagram. When you're finished with your changes, return to the Google Doc and open the 'Add-ons' tab. Click 'Lucidchart.' 'Update Inserted Diagrams.' And your old images will be switched out for the newest versions. Lucidchart is the easiest way to communicate visually inside Google Docs.
