Keep your team aligned with a daily standup template

When you are working on a project with other teammates, it’s important to find ways to keep everyone on the same page. One of the best ways to accomplish this is to institute a daily standup.

What is a daily standup? A traditional daily standup meeting involves meeting with team members and talking about what tasks people are working on, what they still need to get done, and any issues that are impeding their progress. This helps the team stay aligned and be able to solve problems more quickly.

With this daily standup template, you can have this valuable check-in without meeting in person. You can collaborate with your team members and discuss blockers regardless of whether your team works in the same building or in different time zones. Use the daily standup template in Lucidchart

To use the daily standup template, first fill out the template with the names of your team members in each column. If you plan to have everyone use the template asynchronously, you may want to create a diagram key.

For each daily standup, ask your team members to add sticky notes in the appropriate section that detail:

• What they accomplished yesterday.
• What they are working on today.
• Any blockers to their progress.

After everyone has filled it out, use the completed template to guide your standup meeting for the day.
