Lucidchart, the leading visual workspace, announced today that Kelly Breslin Wright has joined the company’s board of directors. Wright brings more than 25 years of experience, including 12 years helping to build Tableau Software from its startup launch through an IPO and more than $800 million in revenue.

Initially Tableau’s 10th employee and first sales hire, Wright quickly became a key member of the company’s senior leadership team as executive vice president, sales. Kelly’s experience building engines that enable companies to be more data savvy and empower more users with greater access to information aligns well with Lucidchart’s mission. She also brings additional sales, operational, and strategy experience from her time at Bain & Company, AtHoc, Bank of America, and her work on multiple technology boards including Fastly, Amperity, and Even Responsible Finance. This background makes her a pivotal addition as Lucidchart looks to scale go-to-market efforts, especially in the enterprise and globally.
“We’re really excited to add Kelly to Lucidchart’s board of directors,” said Karl Sun, CEO of Lucidchart. “Her expertise and enterprise experience will be invaluable as we continue to build out our go-to-market strategy and sales organization and further our mission of helping people see, understand and improve the way they work.”
Wright’s appointment comes at the launch of a new phase of Lucidchart’s business focused on creating a collaborative visual workspace to help people and companies accelerate and drive understanding. The platform’s visual reasoning engine, combined with its powerful diagramming core, gives its more than 15 million users the benefit of an elevated perspective, the ability to gain insights from their data faster and the understanding to drive better decisions in every area of business.
“I admire Lucidchart both because of the breakthrough work the team is doing to help people visualize how to make their business better, as well as their commitment to building a strong people-centric culture and top workplace,” Wright said. “I’ve spent most of my career empowering people to make better sense of the proliferation of data and information that surrounds business and users today, and I believe that Lucidchart’s visual approach to this problem fills a critical market need. I’m thrilled to join this amazing leadership team and the other members of the board on their journey to further Lucidchart’s important mission.”
