For Lucidchart, cross-platform functionality has always been a priority. We want users to get the most out of Lucidchart no matter their operating system—even on mobile devices. Recently, we updated our Android app, taking it from a bare-bone diagram viewer to a full-fledged Lucidchart mobile application. The Android app gives you access to essential Lucidchart features anywhere you work. Keep reading for an overview of the updates.
Create and edit Lucidchart documents on the go
When it comes to fleshing out an idea, visualization is key. A well-used mind map, flowchart, or process map can take a vague outline to a fully formed plan. There’s just one problem: ideas don’t always come at convenient times. That’s why we’ve added diagram editing capabilities to the Lucidchart Android app. Now, you can record your ideas as they come to you, no matter where you are.
In our Android app, you can create diagrams from scratch or edit existing diagrams—you have complete access to all of your Lucidchart documents and folders at your fingertips. Add, move, or resize shapes and connectors with just a few touches. Any changes you make are saved to the cloud, so you can access your updated diagrams from any device.
For a quick solution, you can also choose a template from our extensive library. With templates, shapes and connectors are already laid out, so you can jump right into adding content—this provides a faster, simpler diagramming process.
Whether you need to quickly approve a diagram or chart out an idea, Lucidchart’s Android app makes it possible from your mobile device.
Import Visio diagrams
The first version of our Android app let users import and view Visio diagrams. This feature hasn’t gone anywhere, and, for paid users, it’s gotten even better. With any paid Lucidchart account, you can also edit imported Visio files. (The app supports VDX, VSD, VSDM, and VSDX file types.)

Export diagrams as PDFs
Most diagrams are made to be shared. Thankfully, our Android app enables sharing across a number of platforms. Simply export your diagram as a PDF and send it to coworkers or stakeholders via email, Slack, and more.
An enhanced diagramming experience
With uses across countless industries, Lucidchart is incredibly flexible—and our Android app makes it more versatile than ever. The app extends Lucidchart’s use cases, whether that is streamlining a manager’s feedback and approval process, giving a field technician access to crucial charts on the job, or letting an everyday user edit on-the-go.
For major edits, using Lucidchart from a computer is ideal, but you may not always be at your computer; that’s where the app comes in. Add it to your work environment to enhance your diagramming experience and truly get the most out of Lucidchart.
